Garlic powder is a powdered condiment made by grinding fresh garlic after drying. Compared with fresh garlic, garlic powder is not easy to rot or germinate. It can be stored for more than one year under sealed storage at room temperature. It does not need to be peeled or cut, and can be directly added to food. It is suitable for families, catering industry and food processing plants.
The garlic powder production line is the main equipment for processing garlic powder. The entire production line integrates automatic peeling, slicing, rinsing, drying and grinding, which can realize large-scale, standardized and hygienic production of garlic powder.
1. Peeling: Use a garlic peeling machine for batch processing, so that the garlic cloves can be peeled naturally without damage, with high efficiency and high integrity of the garlic cloves.
2. Slicing: Use a slicer for mechanical slicing, and the slice thickness is controlled at about 3mm to ensure that the garlic surface is smooth and the thickness is uniform.
3. Rinsing: After slicing, the garlic slices will release a certain amount of sticky juice, which needs to be rinsed repeatedly with water to remove the juice and impurities.
4. Drying: The garlic slices are sent to the dryer and finally dried to a moisture content of 4-6% to ensure that the product is resistant to storage and not prone to mold. This step is a very important step in the garlic powder processing line.
5. Grinding: Use a grinder to crush into fine powder, with uniform particles and rich flavor. Coarse powder or fine powder can be selected according to demand to meet different market positioning.
● Slicer: Automated and efficient slicing equipment to ensure that each garlic slice has the same thickness and improve the consistency of subsequent processing.
● Dryer: Hot air circulation system, precise temperature control, and automatic dehumidification function to ensure that the garlic slices are dried in the best environment. The temperature is usually controlled at 55-60°C for 6-8 hours. During the drying process, it is necessary to pay attention to controlling the hot air volume and dehumidification volume to avoid the slow migration of moisture in the garlic slices.
● Grinding machine: A variety of screen specifications are available to meet different fineness requirements, with high crushing efficiency and fine and uniform powder.
● Control slice thickness: slices should not be too thick or too thin. Uneven thickness will lead to uneven drying, affecting the color and taste of the finished product.
● Strictly control the drying process: time and temperature are key parameters. The equipment operation status needs to be checked regularly to prevent garlic slices from deteriorating due to insufficient drying or producing a charred smell due to overdrying.
● Hygiene management: During the garlic powder production process, attention should be paid to powder garlic processing line cleaning and personnel operation specifications to prevent impurities from mixing in and ensure the safety and hygiene of garlic powder.
